Daisy Arbogast Obituary
Daisy Mae (White) Arbogast, age 87, of Elkins, WV, departed this life on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at her home. She was born on May 30, 1938, in Ellamore, WV, the daughter of the late Ottis and Wilma (Mullenax) White. On December 5, 1955, Daisy married the love of her life, Earl Arbogast, who preceded her in death on February 14, 2012.
Daisy attended Circleville High School and later obtained her GED and then acquired her Bachelor's Degree from Glenville State College. She retired from Appalachian Mental Health, serving Randolph and Pendleton Counties, after 35 years of service. Daisy took pride in her family and enjoyed applying her skills in her life on the farm, especially sewing and canning. She loved her children and grandchildren and rewarded others with her love, by serving as a foster grandparent.
Daisy leaves behind to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Cathy Lynn Arbogast of Elkins, WV, Karen Denise Hammond of Elkins, WV; a son, Douglas Earl Arbogast (Mary) of Fredericksburg, VA; 2 sisters, Alice Moyers of Bartow, WV, Lois Alt of Old Fields, WV; a brother, Arnold White of Sugar Grove, WV; 5 grandchildren, Brian, Brett, Nicholas, Braden, Allysun; and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: a son, Alfred Lemual; a granddaughter, Brooke; 5 brothers; and 1 sister.
Daisy's family will receive friends on Thursday, October 16, 2025, 12-1 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM, in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Anita Tracy officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Franklin, WV.
