Florence Long Obituary

Florence Long, age 92, of Anthony, Florida, passed away on July 3, 2025. She was born on November 24, 1932, in Jackson, Michigan, a daughter of George and Mary Deck.

She was the first female president of Woodmans Lodge #14 Ocala for four years. She and her husband owned and operated Sparr Concrete for over 40 years serving the community. Of her many accomplishments throughout her life, she also helped start the first volunteer fire department in Sparr.

She is preceded by her husband of 45 years; Mervin Long, child; Penny Cormican.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Denzil Cormican; daughter, Brenda Waters; Randy, Mervin; blended children, Earl Long, Gene, Inez, and Danny, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and dear friends and family, too numerous to count.

Countryside Funeral Home has been entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
