Ruthie Ezell Obituary
Ruthie Lee departed this life on November 29, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born to the late Ollie Ezell and Lealer Mae Moselby in Chickasw County. She confessed hope in Christ at Gladwell Chapel. She later joined the Jolly Chapel M.B. Church under the leadership of the late Rev. D. Daniel.
She graduated from Fannie Carter high school in 1958. Ruthie served as a Sunday school teacher, a faithful usher, and choir member until she passed the torch to a new generation. Ruthie worked as a seamstress in the Indian Creek Industry, Lucky Star, and Super Sagless Corp until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking for "everyone" and especially pinto beans and peach cobbler. She loved being around her children and family and making everyone laugh.
She leaves to cherish: her children, Terry (Pam) Ezell of Pontotoc, Leslie Ann (Anthony) Marion of Tupelo, Billinda Frambo of Tifton, GA, Tyrone Ezell of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Wille (Cheryl) Ezell of Tupelo; 14 grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Curtis Ezell and Johnny (Lena) Ezell of Okolona; five sisters, Adalaide Hodges, Mable James, Cora Mosleby, Celia Ware, and Hazel (Tommie) Ivy of Okolona; four sisters-in-law,
Ginger Ezell, Helen Ezell, Judy Braylock, and Anita Smith- Ezell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, and special relatives Eddie (Jean) Graham and Melvin Graham of Tupelo, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ollie (Maddie) Ezell, Jr., George Ezell, Neal Ezell, John Carothers, R. D. Ezell, and Clifton Ezell; and sisters, Rena Gates, Bobbie Ezell Smith, and Nellie Ezell.
