Sadie Sherbert Obituary

Sadie Mae Grubbs Sherbert, 83, wife of the late John Sherbert, resident of Woodruff, South Carolina, passed away May 3, 2025. A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, daughter of the late Angus and Clara Vaughn Grubbs, she was a homemaker and member of the Cashville Church of God of Prophecy. Surviving are one daughter, Elaine Leopard (Glenn) of Woodruff, South Carolina; two sons, Mitchell Sherbert (Melody) and Wayne Sherbert (Leeann) all of Woodruff, South Carolina; two sisters, Shirley Price and Yvonne Fortenberry both of Woodruff, South Carolina; nine grandchildren, Michelle Skipper (David), Miranda Bragg, Jaxson Sherbert, Katelynn Kelly, Jacob Kelly, Kaylee Cartee, Joshua Sherbert, Chelsea Adams, and Michael Sherbert; five great-grandchildren, Danielle Flinn, Tyler Eubanks, Wyatt Hitt, Nicole Sessoms (Dylan) and Maliyah Kelly; and two great-great-grandchildren, Eden Hamm and Grayson Flinn. She was also predeceased by one daughter, Lisa Sherbert; two brothers, James Grubbs and Fred Grubbs; and one granddaughter, Renee Sherbert. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025, at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Pastor Wilson Lancaster. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025, at the mortuary prior to the service. The family is at the home of Sharon Perry.
