My first cousin IoLani and I lived and grew up her in Hawaii and me in Alaska .
I remember our letters back and forth between sisters Una , Bobette and IoLani And My Sister Joyce McDonald ( passed away 1997 at 44 of Breast Cancer) and I writing letters from Alaska to Kauai to our McDonald Cousins saying what we got for Christmas.
Of course we got winter gloves , boots etc. for our gifts and our Hawaiian Cousins got swim suits , flip flops etc. for their gifts .
Not long before IoLani got her Brain cancer We called me as we´ve lost touch and oh How excited and happy I was to be in contact with her again . We texted and talked even Faced Timed and made plans for a McDonald Reunion in September 2023 in Washington .
I´m so Blessed that I got to talk with her and I keep Adrian and their families in my heart and prayers

Met Dorma as a 7th-grader at our border's check-in at Kamehameha Prep Schools (as it was known in those days) in 1963. I remember her smile and shyness (at that time).
My condolences to you, her Ohana. She will be missed. Aloha Aku, Aloha Mai. A Hui Hou me Ke Aloha
