Our condolences to Kathi and Al´s Ohana. Al was a very special friend. We loved hearing his surfing and bartending stories. He always had a positive outlook in life. He would always say, " live life to the fullest." We will miss your aloha spirit and bright, bold smile.

Al was the coolest guy anyone could ever meet. No matter where he went someone would come up to him with a hug and talk story on how much fun they had together.
Quick witted and funny. He told the most interesting stories of growing up in Kalihi. He was a experienced wayerman who was one of the beach boys and lived to surf and paddle his OC-1. He was extremely generous. Full of love for his ohana. You could always count on him.
He treated my sister like a queen. She lacked for nothing. He'd do all the shopping for the house. He'd cook the most delicious meals and made mouth watering side dishes. Try as I might I couldn't replicate them.
He loved his brother Marnie and nephew Zach so very much and would brag about them and their accomplishments. He loved Keola Nikki and Kevin and adored the 2 girls Kelsi and Kynzi.
Finally he actually cooked meat for his two dogs every night so that he could make sure they were healthy. No can or dry dog food for them.
Yes Al was one special man that we were all blessed to call Ohana.
