ANN KANG Obituary

ANN MILEKA PUANANI (KINCAID) KANG February 05, 1945 January 17, 2024 "Pua, Puzy, Tootsie, Mom, Grams" of Kailua, Oahu Born to Donald & Margaret Kincaid, who greeted her at heaven's gates. Pua attended Sacred Hearts Academy. Before graduating, she left for Seattle World's Fair to work at the Hawaiian Pavilion. She returned to the islands an expectant mother and settled into her lifelong home on Wanaao to raise her growing 'ohana. An original Kailua girl. She had a wonderful career at Kamehameha Schools where she retired from in 2003. Pua enjoyed her early years as a beach bunny - paddling with her gal pals, sailing the hobie cat & relaxing on Lanikai beach. An avid reader who loved her books & never missed a Sunday crossword. After retirement, Pua was known as the flower lady. She always said working at Pali Florist was the best job because "no one was ever mad when receiving flowers." She was a giver by nature. A pure, kind heart whose joy was taking care of her family. Always guiding, supporting, and cheering them on. She loved to talk story and share big laughs. Tough yet graceful. She exuded Aloha. Pua was the core. A proud wife, mom, grandma, sister & aunty. Her 'ohana was her whole world. She is survived by her husband Ronnie; children- Kaui (Buddy), Nanea, Daws and granddaughter Tehani whom she raised; 7 grandkids, 16 greatgrands and several nieces & nephews. Her siblings, Kaipo, Mike (Patty) and Jimmy. Previously departed, daughter Pohai & brother Terry. She passed peacefully with pule & Hawaiian mele surrounded by her 'ohana & close friends. She is surely doing a holoholo, honking that horn and throwing back a few Chards with those she loved dearly that left before her.
