Anthony Locascio Obituary

ANTHONY LOCASCIO Anthony Locascio, retired from Boeing Company, died on June 6, 2025. Tony was a strong supporter of education and continued auditing classes at Kapiolani Community College in a variety of subjects. He was enthusiastic about attending KCC, and appreciated the dedicated faculty who opened new sources of knowledge and learning for him. He most recently participated in online classes with OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) at the University of Hawaii. Tony was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 1, 1927, and graduated from Fordham University in New York City. He is a veteran of the naval service. He attributed his longevity to a daily glass of wine and the spirit of St. Pope John XXIII. As a manager of Boeing, he lived in Iran, Saudi Arabia and Australia. A particular experience was being in the midst of the Iranian revolution in 1979, and eventually evacuated among the last group of expatriates. He enjoyed traveling, discovering and absorbing different cultures and people. He talked about his adventures as a very grand and broadening experience. He loved the diverse arts, the natural cuisine of Italy and music of the world. The Australian "Waltzing Matilda", the English ballad "Greensleeves" and the song "New York, New York" were his favorites. Tony is survived by his wife, Becky, four children, five grandchildren, and two great- grandchildren. A private celebration of life Mass at Newman Center on the campus of University of Hawaii will be followed by internment at Punchbowl National Cemetery. Arrangements Provided By: Oahu Mortuary
