Anthony Ramos Obituary

ANTHONY JONATHAN RAMOS February 28, 1940 ~ January 7, 2021 The son of Antone and Violet B. Ramos, Anthony passed peacefully with his wife Suzanne by his side. She has since passed away as well. Born on the Big Island of Hawaii, "Sonny, Jonathan, Tony's" youth was filled with working at the family Dairy Queen, chasing cattle with uncles, pranks with cousins and friends, and of course, studies. After graduating from Kamehameha Schools in 1958 and schooling on the mainland, he returned to Kamehameha Schools for a 42-year-long career as a teacher, counselor, and Principal, retiring in 2005. In retirement, Tony continued to enjoy family, friends, golf, travel, making guitars and ukulele, and cooking. Tony is survived by his children: Renee, Jonathan, Aimee, Zane and Scarlette; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; former wife Joann Ramos; brother David (Chucky) Ramos, and extended ohana and dear friends. A loving Dad, Grandfather and friend, he is sorely missed.
