April James Obituary

APRIL ANN JAMES On the morning of July 22, 2023, April Ann James, 70 years old, died peacefully. She was in the care of Hale Nani Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. The daughter of Jane and David Arceo, April came into this world on April 6, 1953, on Fairchild Air Force base Spokane, Washington. As the daughter of a U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sergeant, she traveled the world by air force bases. During her life, April had the great fortune to call Spokane, New York, Bentwater in England, Hamilton in Novato/San Rafael California and Itazuke in Japan home, before finally landing in Hawaii. On September 4, 1982, she married the love of her life Johnny (Sonny) James and had 3 beautiful children, Crystal, John, and Molly Ann. After 31 years with Hawaiian Telcom, she retired and lived with her favorite child (Molly). April loved shouting out the answers of her favorite game shows, coloring, and monthly lunch with friends, aka, her Hawaiian Telcom family. She was a volunteer at the Hawaii Food Bank and had a heart of gold, making sure everyone around her was always well fed. April was loved by all who met her - friends, family, and strangers alike. She was not afraid to tell it "like it is" and kept those she loved on their toes with her quick wit, sharp tongue, and mischievous smile. She will be missed by so many. April is survived by husband Johnny (Sonny) James, sister Bette Rohrer, daughter Crystal James Cormier, son John James, and of course, the gorgeous Molly Ann James.
