I just came back from Barbara's home to drop off somd mangos ftom our tree & was surprised to see no cars in the garage & driveway & all of the windows closed !
I immediately thought either Barbara was in a facility or she had passed !
I did a search for Barbara on my phone & saw her obituary !
She was a friend of my Mom who lives close by! She will be missed by our family !

I am very shocked and saddened to learn today, January 8, 2024, that Barbara Swig died on November 17, 2023. My last communication with her was on November 8, 2023, when she thanked me that I had put her on the healing list for Our Lady's Prayer Group which now meets on line but originally met at St. Bruno Catholic Church on each Wednesday night in San Bruno, CA. I am very upset!!!! Barbara was my cousin. I totally loved her father, Irving, and became close to her mother at a later date. I only remember meeting Barbara once in San Raphael, when I was asked to pray for her mother who had cancer. Barbara was with her mother at the time. I do not remember when I began to be in contact with Barbara on Facebook, but it was a daily encounter. Then, after I left Facebook, I began somehow communicating with Barbara via e-mail. It was an almost daily habit for both of us. I would send her messages from Holy Love in Ohio, and she would respond to each one. Then, we began a deep sharing. I became very fond of her as if she were my daughter. In 1965, I named my first born, who died before birth, after Barbara's father by calling him David Irving Swig. So, as I grew close in my affection with Barbara, it was like knowing Irving again, whom I thought the world of. Later, also, a enjoyed a very good relationship with Mary, her mother. If you look on my e-mail history, I have been trying repeatedly to see how Barbara was doing!!!!!! So, my heart and prayers go out to her big time!!!! She was the sweetest girl I ever conversed with and she received all the good qualities from Irving and her mother, Mary. God rest her soul. May perpetual light shine upon her and give her eternal peace. Amen. God have mercy on her soul. Amen. Fiat.
