Benjamin Jones El, JR. BENNY EL, Jr., 92 of Kaneohe, passed away August 9, 2023, at his Kaneohe home surrounded by family. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, August 15, 1930. He served in the U.S. Army and retired with 20+ years of service in the United States, Europe and Asia. He then retired from the Army Corps of Engineers. A lifelong musician, he performed with the U.S. Army Bands, The Honolulu Symphony, many shows, recording studios and bands. Benny was a member and supporter of the American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada; and Musicians Association of Hawaii Local 677. He is survived by his wife, Toshiko El; son, H. Jesse EL (Judy El) of Colorado; daughters, Evelyn Kikue El, Akimi D. El-Gould of Kaneohe; grandson James Kalae Loa El of Kaneohe; great grandson Kaze Yantip. Arrangements Provided By: Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary
