BETTY-ANN (KEKA) KAHIHIE KEKAHUNA PERKINS Betty Ann (Keka) Kahiehie Kekahuna Perkins was born February 3, 1946, and joined AL (Perk), in heaven on November 17, 2023. She was one of ten children born to Henry Kekahuna and Susan Pak Chong Kekahuna. She had 6 brothers and 3 sisters. Harold Kekahuna, Nani-Clarence Kekahuna, Lou Aileen Kakalia, Henry Kekahuna, Joseph Kekahuna, Susan Kanewa, Peter Kekahuna, John Kekahuna and B. Nani Kekahuna Hussey. Raised in Palolo Valley and graduated from Kamehameha Schools in 1964. She was married to Allen Perkins and had son Cree, step-son Skip Perkins, step-daughters Mahe Perkins, and Alana Dean. She also leaves behind grandsons Johnathan, Kapono, Steven and Tristan, sisters Aileen and Nani, brother Johnny, many nephews, nieces, both great and grandnieces as well. She was beloved by all and was always there helping out in time of need. Keka worked as an usherette at the old Cinerama Theatre in the 1970's. At Hawaiian Tel she worked for over 35 years as a Telephone Operator, Dispatch Operator, Business Sales Associate, Phone Mart Associate, and finally the Repair Office where she first retired. After retirement, Perk and Keka still kept busy. They traveled the world and loved to see the different cultures and wonders they visited. At home they were always together doing home projects. They both were also part of the International Order of Odd Fellows as President and Secretary. They spent countless hours doing charity work, organizing functions but mostly enjoyed the company of the members there. Keka also volunteered at the Iolani Palace as a docent and loved to carry on Hawaii's ancestry. At her last job she worked as an operator at the Kapiolani Children's Hospital again meeting and forming great friendships. She finally retired and was always there for Perk during his final years. She lost him three years ago, and missed him every day. She always had her beloved dog Daisy by her side which she took care of until she died. She loved Daisy very much and Daisy loved her just as much. We will all remember her as always laughing and always willing to help people organize and decorate a party, AND always cleaning. She was always laughing and tried to live to the fullest. We will miss you and we will remember you always. Services will be held on Thursday, December 21st at Diamond Head Memorial Park.
