Bev welcomed our family into her family in the early 80´s when we moved to Kailua. Bev guided me through years at Le Jardin as a mentor. She lived a life of Love, Giving, Teaching, Faith, Adventure, Family and Devotion to her Sweetheart and Husband Jerry. She left us all the legacy of a Life Well Lived. I am Blessed to have had such an amazing roll model and treasure our sweet memories

Remembering Beverly Ann (Stall) Allen
Bev was born June 30, 1933 in central Iowa, where she grew up on a farm with her two brothers, Dale and Dean, her sister Karen, and their parents, Milo and Martha Stall. When she came home from her first day of kindergarten, she announced that she was going to be a teacher. She also developed a lifelong love of music very early on and met Jerry Allen, her high school sweetheart, and later husband, in the band.
After college and their wedding, Bev and Jerry spent ten formative years in Japan, where Bev taught in a local school and eventually served as school president. They later moved to Hawaii where they made Kailua their home and Bev continued her passions for music and teaching.
Bev embraced Hawaiian life wholeheartedly. She became a beloved music instructor at Le Jardin Academy, where she led an ukulele choir that played concerts in Hawaii, Canada, and Japan. She also found joy in the water, becoming a well-known swim instructor in the community, and she paddled with the Kailua Outrigger Canoe Club well into her 70s, participating in numerous inter-island races. A woman of strong faith, Bev was also an active member of both Kailua Methodist Church and First Presbyterian. Throughout her life, she was known as an educator, a dedicated community supporter, and someone always ready to help those in need.
She passed away peacefully at home on September 16, 2025. Left to remember her are her husband of 71 wonderful years, Jerry Allen; her children: Kim Allen, Kendra O´Brien, and Keenan Allen; and her grandchildren: Zachary Arndt, Joshua Arndt, Stephanie Allen, Pierce O´Brien, and Payton O´Brien. She is predeceased by her parents, siblings, and son, Kevin Allen.
A celebration of life will be held at 9:00 am on December 22, 2025, at Kailua Beach, where Bev will be honored with an ocean burial-a fitting tribute to her love of the ocean and the sense of freedom it brought her. A 12:30 pm visitation and memorial service will follow at Le Jardin Academy, Kailua.
