REVEREND CANON DAVID KENNEDY AND ANNA MARIE KENNEDY Joint Celebration of Life David Kennedy, 91, son of Bishop Harry and Katharine Kennedy, passed away peacefully on August 14th, 2024 after a long and fulfilling life that touched many across our state. The Episcopal Church, St. Andrew's Schools and his beloved alma mater, Iolani School, molded and defined his life. Service to others was deep in his soul and provided unending purpose to his life. Anna Marie Kennedy, 87 (01/29/1934-10/12/2021), daughter of Ernest and Gladys Hemberger of Wisconsin, was independent, joyful, full of life, funny and a loving mother. She was an avid reader, loved to garden and had a passion for creating beautiful quilts for family and friends. She worked in administration at both Iolani School and St. Andrew's Priory but her largest accomplishment was raising her four boys and providing guidance to set them on their life paths. David and Anna Marie are survived by children: Chris (April), Paul (Joanne), Karl and Eric as well as grandchildren Taylor, Courtney, Nick, David, Angela, Kyle, Aidan, Nate, Sean and Angela. Services will be held on Sunday, September 22 at 3 PM, in The Cathedral of St Andrew, 229 Queen Emma Square, Honolulu, HI 96813.
