I met Fr. David almost 2 years ago while visiting neighbors of his. When I visited, both in 2023 and 2024, I would join his table for breakfast. His beautiful smile and kind voice were very endearing. He was very warm, and easy to talk to. Unfortunately I only learned of his death yesterday. I am sorry for your loss as he was truly a wonderful person. Peace be with you.

A loving mentor and cheerleader for all of us priests in Hawaii who came after him. St. Christopher was so blessed to have him as our Interim twice! He encouraged me personally twice along the way in challenging times. Condolences to the family and all his many friends. With love, The Rev Giovan King
