Cedric Pang Obituary

CEDRIC PANG 77 years old, peacefully died September 6, 2023, at home in Vista, California. Family and friends enjoyed and will remember him for his loyal friendship, quick wit, and eagerness to try new ventures. In addition to computers, he enjoyed growing plants, preparing and eating a culturally wide variety of foods; duplicate and tournament bridge; and most of all, keeping his friendships with 'ohana and friends. He had a talent for making people feel special and kept his family and friends close. His early bridge journey led him to become a master bridge player and director, but he was quick to let you know that his many cherished friendships were the best part of the game. Cedric is best known in the San Diego area for his job as an excellent director and being a respected bridge player and pro. Brother, Douglas Samuel Pang; sister, Melissa Pang; brother-in- law, Clyde Chun; sister-in-law, Patricia Tom; nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, survive him. His spouse of 44 years, Thomas Crawford White predeceased him. Cedric and Tom were buried with military honors at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. A Celebration of Life will be on October 14, 2023, Central Union Church, 1660 South Beretania Street, 11 a.m. Arrangements Provided By: Diamond Head Mortuary Chapel
