CHARLES K. HONMA With heavy hearts, the family of Charles K. Honma announces his passing on September 18, 2025, surrounded by the warmth of his family. Born on July 1, 1938, on the island of Kaua'i, Charles grew up rooted in the beauty, and close-knit community of Kaumakani. Throughout his 87 years, he carried with him a quiet strength, a generous heart, and a deep devotion to his family. His gentle humor, steady guidance, and unwavering kindness to all who knew him. Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy, his children Brian Honma and Cheryl (Dean) Honma-Fujihana, and his adored grandchildren Kalysta and Kylee Fujihana, who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by his brother Harry, Alan (Merle), sister Joyce (Mel) Gushiken and nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart. The family would like to extend their deepest and most heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Cecilia Wang, Dr. Hayashi and the staff at Straub Benioff Medical Center, whose exceptional care, compassion, and dedication provided tremendous comfort to Charles and his loved ones during his final days. Their kindness will never be forgotten. While Charles has left his legacy of love, humility, and family, his memory may continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to share in his journey.
