CHRISTIAN PETERSON Obituary

CHRISTIAN D. PETERSON (Flora) Christian Deming Peterson, 97, of Hawaii Kai, born on April 1, 1926 in Los Angeles, CA, died on Feb. 28, 2024. Her parents were Dr. Edward Chevalier Deming and Flora Elspeth Rothney Deming. Christian received a B.A. in Economics from USC and moved to Hawaii in 1955. She married Robert John Peterson on July 11, 1982; he died in 2000. Survivors are sister Priscilla Deming Liskey, nieces & nephews Charlene Bandurraga-Hole, Maury Bandurraga, Mark Bandurraga, Lesin Dippold, Edward Liskey, Paul & Sean Deming, Megan Sato, 15+ great nieces and nephews, and Bob's grandchildren Briana Ruckrigl, Ryan & Kyle Peterson, & great granddaughter Aubrey Ruckrigl. Her brother Dr. Ian Chevalier Deming, his daughter Bronwen and Bob's sons John Ramsey Peterson and Carl Steven Peterson predeceased her. Christian was active in many community organizations and charities. She enjoyed reading, dancing, traveling, taking classes, real estate investing, giving themed parties and helping stray cats. Memorial service is on Sat. April 27 at 11 a.m. at Waiokeola Congregational Church; inurnment at 2 p.m. Mon. April 29 at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. Aloha attire. Cremation by Oahu Mortuary.
