Clarence Higa Obituary

REV. CLARENCE SHINKO KAZUO HIGA 75, of Honolulu, passed away on February 15, 2026. He was born in Honolulu. Rev. Higa was a retired special education teacher at Kawananakoa Middle School and a Shingon Buddhist minister of Seichiji Temple. He thoughtfully and unconditionally helped many over the years, and will always be remembered for his compassion, wisdom, humility, friendship, and sense of humor. Family was very important to him; he loved when they were able to travel and spend time together. He also loved caring for his orchids and bonsai, and being a published author. He is preceded in death by Seiko and Betsy Higa of B&S Store, and brother Gary. He is survived by his wife, Corinne; children, Cydelle (Levi), Brenton (Violet), and Trissha (Anthony); sister, Carol Toyama; brother, Randy (Alison); and four grandchildren. Visitation at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Service begins at 4:00 pm. Arrangements Provided By: Hosoi Garden Mortuary
