CRAIG AINA YNIGUES, JR. Craig Aina Ynigues Jr., affectionately known as "Ina" or "Ina-Boi," passed peacefully, surrounded by his 'ohana, in Honolulu, Hawai'i on June 13, 2025 at the age of 40. Born on November 2, 1984, Ina graced the lives of all who knew him with his exuberant spirit, compassion, and boundless embrace of life. Ina-Boi lived proudly as a true "Mr. Aloha," radiating warmth, laughter, and kindness wherever he traveled. He embodied the aloha spirit, always loud and proud in his expressions of love, laughter, and friendship. He was a talented rock wall builder, proud employee of Hawaiian Airlines, the owner of Ina's Pressure Washing, longtime employee of West Hawai'i Window Washing, and also assisted Cornerstone Fabricators with installations. Ina was an avid paddler for Kai 'Ehitu Canoe Club, winning Gold at the HCRA States Regatta and paddling the Molokai Hoe numerous times. He was also an enthusiastic member of the Hawai'i rodeo community. You could always spot him in the crowdbright aloha shirt, big smile, and an even bigger heart. He is preceded in death by his first-born daughter Na'imale'a "Honey Girl" Pohaiikamalualohaokahaku Arlene Ynigues. He is survived by his life partner, Laurel Yanagi; daughters Kaimani Ynigues, Mikyla Torioka-Yanagi, LeeAnn Yanagi, Destiny Rose Yanagi Ynigues; and goddaughter Malie Grace. Mother, Myrtle Freitas (Alfred Santiago); sister Kamailei Ynigues (Billy Watan); Grandmother Josephine Keliikipi and grandparents James and Linda Freitas. Parents, Craig & Carly Ynigues; siblings Iwalani Ynigues and Lanakila Ynigues (Jackie); and grandparents Rose Ynigues and Thomas Ynigues. Ina is a proud uncle to BJ Watan, Ha'o "Cowboy" Ynigues, Pomai Ynigues and Oriana Pohaikealoha Aina Tremaine. He leaves behind a large and loving 'ohana of aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends who became family. Celebration of life to be held Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Old Airport Main Baseball Field. 10 a.m. Visitation, 11 a.m. Service, with lunch to follow. In Ina's honor, colorful aloha attire is requested.
