DALE YAMASHITA Obituary

DALE K. YAMASHITA On May 17, 2025, Dale K. Yamashita slipped out of her earthly bonds and proceeded to her final destination. Living her life as a free and independent spirit, Dale crossed paths with many people that became friends, including co-workers, the community at Shinnyo-en, members of bowling teams, dancers of various line and bon dance groups statewide, and the owners of the fur friends from her dog sitting days. The activities that she engaged in supported her in spirit and brought her great joy. Along the way, Dale fostered long and enduring friendships with several high school and college classmates, memories of which sustained her to the end. Living an independent life, determined and strong-willed to survive on her own, Dale realized how hard and trying it is to free our physical being. The rock that held her steady in her life, her home base that she clung to until it was time to let go, was her family. Dale will always be missed by her siblings, Gary (Susan), Randy, Craig (Medelyn), Wendy Yamashita (Walter), and Jill (James) Baptist; nieces Ren Yamashita and Joy (Josh) Sagaysay; grand niece Leila; and numerous cousins. As per Dale's wishes, no services will be held and no koden. Her legacy continues as she was accepted as a body donor in the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) Willed Body Program.
