David Vieira Obituary

DAVID VIEIRA JR. David M. Vieira Jr. passed away in Kailua, Oahu on January 20, 2023. He was 75 years old. He was born on September 27, 1947 in Hilo, Hawaii, the son of David M. Sr. and Bertha Vieira. He was the oldest of three brothers and graduated from St. Joseph High School in Hilo in 1965. He attended the University of Idaho on a Naval ROTC scholarship and earned a chemical engineering degree. David then served four years in the Navy as an officer in the Navy Construction Battalion, known as the Seabees, and was responsible for building military infrastructure around the world. After leaving the military, he worked as a realtor, sales manager and mortgage loan officer on Oahu for more than 48 years. David loved dancing with his wife Nancy, going to concerts, attending University of Hawaii women's volleyball matches, and traveling. David is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy; his two daughters Nani Sallee (married to Dana) and Jasmine; grand- children Shawn and Maikalani; and his brothers Wayne and Keith (married to Jo Ann). David's wonderful life, filled with love and laughter, will be celebrated in a private ceremony. His ashes will be scattered in Kaneohe Bay. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family has asked that donations be made in David's memory to Make-a-Wish Hawaii. Arrangements Provided By: Oahu Mortuary
