Dawn appeared to me to be the very best. I discovered her through my own family research. Turns out her Anahu family are related to me by way of two Anahu explorers who made their way to British Columbia, Canada. Due to poor transcriptions it took a long time to decipher who the man was who was living on the Mission Indian Reserve. She and I spent time discovering who he was and how they were related to me by way of his ties to the family known as Nahanee, a family of Hawaiian and Squamish heritage. We reviewed numerous documents together. She was crucial in sharing family history with me. The family history that one cannot find on documents. I am forever grateful to her for her kindness and patience as I sorted through her stories. I shared with her also my findings and documentation. I am forever grateful to her. A hui ho.
