DEVIN-PAUL KAULULEHUA AKIM Devin-Paul Kaululehua Akim, fondly known as Kaulu. Born on September 23, 1979 from Makakilo, Hawai'i to Peter Paul and Paulette Kaleonani Akim. Occupation: Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, as a Marine Machinist Mechanic with over two decades of diligent work. Kaulu passed away on October 23, 2023 in his native city of Honolulu, Hawai'i. Kaulu was a loving son, brother, uncle, husband, and father throughout his 44 years of life. His life was characterized by his aloha, faith, selflessness, and the deep love he had for his family and community. Kaulu is survived by his beloved spouse Kaeo, and his cherished children, Keo'okalani Keao Peter Akim, Ka'iheokalani O Kaululehua Michael Akim, Kai'akula'iakeaolana'ikaula Joseph Akim, and Kawa'akauluaikekailoaka'imina'auao'okaeomekaululehua David Akim. Kaulu was a dedicated family man, whose love and care for his family were paramount in his life. He was also a brother to Josette "Kaleo" Akim Hanohano (Neal), Peter-Paul "Keo" Akim (deceased), Lynette "Lia" Ka'awa (John - deceased), Shawnette "Shawny" Osbourne (Kenneth), Tynette "Tiny" Akim, Jeremy-Paul "Kepa" Akim (U'i), Christian-Paul "Liko" Akim (Debbie), Joseph-Paul "Aiwa" Akim (Carm). He is also survived by 9 nieces, 4 nephews, 2 grand nieces and 1 grand nephew on the way. His spirit lives on in the memories shared, the lessons taught, and the love and aloha he spread throughout his life. Kaulu's legacy of love, aloha, faith, and selflessness will continue to inspire his family, friends, and all those whose lives he has touched. Services will be held at: Nanaikapono Protestant Church (89-235 Pua Ave, Waianae, Hawai'i 96792). Saturday, December 16, 2023. Public Visitations will be from 9:00 am - 10:30 am. Service begins at 10:30 am with lunch to follow. Flower arrangement receival at church from 8:00 am that day, lei are also welcomed. Aloha attire and papale (hat). No smoking!
