DOMINGA MINGAY REPOLLO RUBIO JUNE 18, 1933 - JANUARY 26, 2024 Dominga "Mingay" Repollo Rubio, 90 years old, of Wahiawa, Hawaii passed away peacefully on January 26, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born on June 18, 1933 in Helemano, Wahiawa, Hawaii. She was a hardworking and devoted mother. She was born in Hawaii, but moved back to the Philippines in 1940. She was the youngest of 6 children. After high school, she married Abraham Rubio and they had 9 children. She left her family to work hard to bring her family to the states. She continued to work hard before retiring and then, she spent a lot of time with her grandkids. Mingay loved to cook; her specialty was bandai bandai (banana fritters), bitsu-bitsu (sweet potato) and chicken adobo. She loved succulents and air plants. She loved to play bingo and cards with her family and friends. She loved doing her word searches. She especially enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Cornelio (Mila) Rubio, Eleazar (Mayen) Rubio, Danilo (Denisse) Rubio, Alexander (Celerina) Rubio, Augustine (Abigail) Rubio, Martin Rubio; daughters, Neida (Romeo) Geronimo and Nineth Rubio; 25 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. She is preceded by her husband, Abraham Rubio and son Jeffrey (Esther) Rubio. Wake Services will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary Makai Chapel Visitation begins at 5:30 PM and Wake Service at 6:30 PM Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2022 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Wahiawa Visitation begins at 10:30 AM and Funeral Service at 11:30 AM Burial Service to follow, 1:30 PM at Mililani Memorial Park, Waipio.
