Donald Kida Obituary

DONALD M. KIDA 84, died on November 21, 2023. A private service was held on January 21, 2024 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. The Iolani graduate earned a Business Degree in Management from the University of Hawaii - Manoa. He became the 3rd generation owner for K. Kida Fishing Supplies. His accomplishments included earning an 8th level black belt in karate with the International Karate League and being elected the first President of the Chinese JCC of Japanese descent. His love of fishing was evident as a member of the Kakaako Kasting Club. This loyal friend and family member, conscientious student as well as mentor is survived by 4 sisters, 6 nieces and nephews and 5 grand nieces and nephews.
