Doris Shaw Obituary

DORIS ALMA KATHERINE HALL SHAW Doris A.K. Shaw, born June 19, 1925, in London, England, passed away peacefully on Sept. 7 in the home she shared with her husband of 65 years, George J. Shaw. Doris recently celebrated her 100th birthday, with her son, husband and well-wishers. The youngest of 9 children, she grew up at a difficult time with World War II brewing. She lost her mother, Sara, at the age of 3 and was a dedicated daughter to her father Benjamin Hall. Doris and George (Joel) met in 1960 at RAF Alconbury. The family moved every 2 years with the final transfer to Honolulu, in 1978. Doris is survived by her husband, George, her son Jody (Cheryl), and her cherished granddaughters, Alexandra and Sydney. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great- grandchildren in England. Visitation is Monday, Oct. 6 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Borthwick Mortuary, 1330 Maunakea Street. Private burial at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe.

Earlier today

My aunt Doris was an amazing woman. Her accent always intrigued me and her smile was always beautiful. I will miss her, but I know she´s in God`s hands now I love you, aunt Doris.
