Edith Yago Obituary

EDITH DITA UGALE YAGO Edith Dita Ugale Yago of Kaneohe, Hawaii, was born on June 2, 1950, in Panay, Magsingal, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. Her birth name was Expedita Baptista Ugale. She was the youngest daughter of Constancio and Apolinaria Ugale. Dita attended Far Eastern University in Manila where she met J. Allan Yago Jr. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology in 1970 and moved to Hawaii in 1972. She married Allan in 1973. Dita was employed by Castle Memorial Hospital (now Adventist Health Castle) almost 50 years as a Medical Technologist. She was active at St. Ann Church. She enjoyed traveling, especially cruising, and taking care of her plants and doggies. She is survived by her husband, J. Allan Yago Jr.; daughters Joette and June (Marvin); son Joel (Jennifer); granddaughter Larissalyn Minicola; grandsons Paxton and Hudson Woo; sisters Pat Udarbe, Irene Ayon-Ayon, Letty Padron, Elena Salvador, Vicky Taylor; brother Ernesto Ugale; half-sister Woey Ugale; step-sister Jocelyn Castro; step-mother Christina Ugale; and fur babies, Boba, Stella, Mimi, and Cora. Wake: 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Valley of the Temples Main Chapel. Funeral: 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at St. Ann Church.
