To my Palena'ole brother: You will truly be missed. We shared many fun moments, up on the hill and the many football games. Class reunions were always a blast with yourself and the other talented classmates that we have too. Lastly, I will also miss our talks about whatever you needed for your shows but ended as ohana catch up wala'au. A hui hou my fellow warrior!

I can not express the grief felt when hearing of Ed's passing. He was so gifted in so many ways. From shared experiences of Siu Lum Pai in Kalihi, and the few shared showbiz experiences. I remember you and the Ohana always so busy doing so much - the house always a buzz; keeping the keep all MK's venues hopping, Bubba's garage sales, costumes, props ... load the cars up, unload the cars and then load up again ... wash, rinse, repeat ... no biz like show biz - yet all of you folks kept it going, largely because of your logistic skills. I'll really miss your kind and generous Heart Ed. Deepest Aloha menemene. My sincerest sympathy to Nani, Asia, Bubba, bless you All.

I gave him my Kevlar vest.
He was always under control.

Aloha Cousin Ed: I remember you as been firm in your commitment to help our Native Hawaiians and for standing "onipa'a" on your belief in our nation as a Sovereign entity. For this you never wavered. Foremost in your life, you were a good father, husband, brother, uncle. Although you seemed somewhat serious in your demeanor--you had that cute twinkle of kolohe in your eyes. You are at peace now--and we will
all eventually see you in that beautiful place. Aloha, Cousin Lei Kihoi

I have fond memories of Edward (back then, I knew him as Eddie) during my years in Kailua in the late 70´s. He was an active teenager, still living in his childhood home with Auntie Buddy. He and his (then) girlfriend occasionally would come to dinner after the Sunday Gospel meetings. I have not kept in touch through the years, but feel especially saddened to learn of his untimely passing at such a young age.
Sending aloha and condolences to you, as you grieve this great loss. May you feel comforted in your special memories as you face the days ahead.
