ELAINE MAY Obituary

ELAINE MAY 02/21/1944 - 04/11/2023 Elaine May passed away on April 11, 2023, at the age of 79. She is survived by her sons Ken and Ray Morikawa, and her siblings Florence Nakahara, Dennis Yoshimura, and Katherine Yoshimura. Elaine was born in Wahiawa, Hawaii on February 21, 1944, to Robert and Mildred Yoshimura. She graduated from Leilehua High School then moved to the mainland for college, where she completed an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from San Jose State University. After retiring from General Electric's Nuclear Energy division as a software engineer, she later owned and operated a successful Real Estate Appraisal business which allowed her to hire and mentor many Real Estate Appraisers who worked for her. Elaine had a keen sense of order and logic, was excellent at Sudoku and the like, enjoyed her Korean dramas, and supported many animal rescue charities. Viewing was held on Thursday, April 20th, 2023 at International Christian Center, San Jose, CA.

Elaine and I met early 1980s at General Electric Nuclear Division, becoming fast friends along with our spouses and enjoying many vacations, holidays, and good times together. Always great to be with and a very true friend.
