So very sorry for the loss of your mother and belated condolences for the loss of your brother, Alan.
I went to elementary school August Ahrens , as well as Japanese school with you all . I lost my mother when I was 9 so, in my mind, your mom was an ideal mom...like June Cleaver of Leave it to Beaver. I believe only our generation understands the symbolism.
I live in Arizona now but have fond memories of life in the good olé days .
Please take care and know in your hearts that your dad, mom, brother and my favorite supervisor from Central Pacific Bank Chico Furukawa, are all in a better place. May you find peace
