Elaine Palafox Obituary

ELAINE OCTAVIO PALAFOX Elaine Octavio Palafox, 94, of Honolulu. Born November 17, 1930 in Wahiawa, Hawaii, passed peacefully at home on April 24, 2025. Married to Richard Palafox (deceased 7/28/24) for over 56 years. When her children were young, she performed on a television show, The Filipino Fiesta singing her signature song, Dahil SaYo (Because of You) She enjoyed cooking and spoiled her family with delicious Filipino Foods. She took pride working as a food waitress at Host International Restaurant at the Honolulu Airport and later at Denny's before retiring. Elaine is preceded in death by her father Arcenio Octavio, mother Leonora Octavio, husband Richard Palafox, daughter Marsha Chun, brothers Art Octavio and Raymond Octavio She is survived by her sons, David Domine, Brad Domine and Allan Octavio. Daughters, June Goodwin, Donna Moon, and Lisa Palafox. 9 Grandchildren, 14 great Grandchildren, sister, Genevieve Harrington, sister-in-law, Jackie Octavio and Gloria Octavio and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Mahalo to Saint Francis Hospice Staff and Nurses A Celebration of Life will be held on July 11, 2025, at Oahu Mortuary, 2162 Nuuanu Ave. Visitation at 10-11am with service and lunch to follow. Arrangements Provided By: Oahu Mortuary
