Eleanor Nobriga Obituary

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother
and Great Grandmother was called to
Heaven on December 21, 2023. She was
born in Honolulu on September 8, 1931.
She was preceded in death by her
husband of 58 years, Paul V. Nobriga,
Sr. (Pop), her parents Joseph & Virginia
Dias, and brother Gerald "Jerry" Dias.
She is survived by her beloved children, daughters: Paula (Mark)
Himenes, Rae (Pat) Olim, Lisa (Kenny) Toriki, and son Paul (Erin)
Nobriga Jr. Her grandchildren: Danette (Derek) Clemente, Kimberly
(Jim) Muller, Darcy (Don Nelson) Himenes, Melissa Olim, Vance
Nobriga, Brandon & Damien Toriki, Kaylen Nobriga; great grandchildren:
Hailey Buth, Eli Scrofani, Mikayla & Rylee Nobriga, Dylan & Danica
Clemente; and sister-in-law, Ruth Alves. Elanu also loved and was
blessed by her special extended family, Sylvia & Henry Chock; their
children Ryan Chock & Sean Shodahl; granddaughters Taylor (Kala'i)
Lee, Skye Shodahl, and great granddaughter Kaila'i Lee.
Elanu's whole life revolved around her family. She was our matriarch,
our "rock", the one who "steadied our ship", entirely devoted to every
one of us. She loved her family gatherings. She loved attending family
school and sporting events. She was the happiest when she was
surrounded by all of us. She and Pop worked hard and sacrificed so
much to help us achieve what we have today. We will honor them
both by continuing their legacy of family first and supporting each other.
Mom, we will miss you so very much. We will miss your
unconditional love, your selfless support and your prayers.
But we are happy that you are finally with Pop.
We know you both are always watching over us.
