ELIZABETH BRUNER Obituary

ELIZABETH LIBBY BRUNER Elizabeth Joan Long Bruner, 94, of Laurel Springs, NC passed away peacefully at Straub Hospital Honolulu the evening of July 15, 2024. Elizabeth a graduate of Glade Valley High School in the blue ridge mountains of Alleghany County NC began work as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone in Winston-Salem NC where she met and married US Army Sargent WWII veteran and business owner of B & B Motor Company Roy E. Bruner. In 1990 Libby and her husband Roy moved to East Oahu where she resided with her daughter and grandchildren in their family home. She then began work at J.C. Penny at Ala Moana Shopping Center where she retired as a loyal employee. She is survived by an only child, a daughter, Kimberley McNaughton, two grandchildren Joshua and Cassidy and two great-grandchildren Mason and Elijah. Memorial Services will be held at Borthwick August 20, 2024, 9:30 AM with interment to follow at 1:00 pm at Kaneohe Veterans Cemetery.
