Ellen Muramoto Obituary

ELLEN YACHIE MURAMOTO Age 99 of Pearl City, passed away on August 20, 2023. She was born in Pearl City to Seijiro and Ayase Yokoyama. She retired as a Supply Clerk at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. Ellen was a member of Pearl City Hongwanji and enjoyed many things - traveling to Las Vegas, watching Japanese dramas and cheering for the Los Angeles Angels baseball team. Her greatest joy, however, was her grandchildren and she looked forward to their weekly visits and spending time with them. Ellen is survived by son Craig (Lori) Muramoto; daughter Lynne (Dean) Shimizu and grandchildren Dannen Muramoto (Nicole Asuncion) and Dani Muramoto. She was predeceased by husband Thomas Muramoto; brother Albert Yokoyama and sisters Alice Iwane, Doris Omiya and Gladys Shijo. Services will be held at Mililani Mortuary, Mauka Chapel, Monday, December 4, 2023. Visitation: 5:30 p.m.; Memorial Service: 6:30 p.m.
