ELMER LIU Obituary

ELMER MEW FA LIU 93, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully in Aiea on January 25, 2026. Born and raised in Heeia on Oahu, he re-enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He retired from the FCC after 44 years of dedicated government service. A loyal member of the Bow Yee Tong Club of Kaneohe, Elmer was a talented landscaper who generously shared his sweet jabon/bulook fruits to many. He was a skilled and avid outdoorsman, fitness enthusiast and devoted husband of 70 years. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Yae Liu; daughters, Roseann Liu and Laine Rykes; siblings, Constance Young, Sybil Kong and Michael YK Liu (Rowena); as well as step-brothers, nephews, nieces and cousins. Private services held.
