I´m a neighbor of the Crabbes. I´m 77 now and met Mr. Crabbe when I was 14. He is the kindest person I´ve ever known. Always a smile and checking how you´re doing. He was incredibly sharp into his 90´s. I loved hearing him talk about his early years. The man is truly an inspiration to all that knew him. Malama Ko Aloha Mr. Crabbe.

Though I did not know him for long, Mr. Crabbe was one of the most inspiring people I have met. He would dauntlessly go up and down his street, holding on to his walker, with always a smile on his face and a happy word. I send his wife, Janet, my most heartfelt condolences. I'm gonna miss him on my next visit! All my best regards. Caterina

Eric and Janet worked at Kaiser Medical Center with my wife, Kathy Krammer, and myself. He shared an office with Kathy. I would see him on the wards during my rounds. He always greeted me with a wide smile and asked me how I was. Thank you Eric for all the good thoughts. Requiescat in pace.
