ERIC KUBOTA Obituary

ERIC S. KUBOTA Eric Seichi Kubota of Honolulu passed away on September 24, 2021, from cancer at Liliha Healthcare Center. He was 64 years old. Eric was born on December 15, 1956, at The Queen's Medical Center, to Charles Seiyei and Kaneko (Miyashiro) Kubota. He was the eldest of five children. He was smart, gentle, generous, and very kindhearted. He loved to sing at karaoke bars, loved bowling and going to Las Vegas. Eric graduated from Farrington High School in 1974. He earned several AA degrees. He worked several years at Dole Cannery. He last worked as a Mechanical Services Technician at Honolulu Star-Advertiser. He also worked at Hawaii Building Maintenance. Eric is survived by his sister Ann; brothers Mark (Kellee) and Val (partner: Mary Ing); sister-in-law Nad; nieces and nephew Amber (partner: Kirby Buhlig), Kristen Nakama (partner: Allan Chock), Brayden and Rylie; great-nephews, and great-nieces: Azien Pegues, Layla and Luna Buhlig and Aiden Chock. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jon. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Celebration of Life service to follow at 10:30 a.m. Casual attire. No flowers please. In place of a monetary gift to the family, please make a donation to your favorite charity in Eric's name.
