Dad was a shaker and a mover. He was always working, or helping others, or enjoying friends and family. He and mom loved to entertain and cook in their earlier years and enjoyed traveling the world. He was a straight forward and honest man that I looked up to, even if his demeanor could be a bit rough. Dad was a person who enjoyed doing for others and going without, just to see smiles on faces and the joy he received from those giving moment. His high school tales will always be remembered as epic stories of fun and laughter that we'll never forget; the two buddies, Ernie and Paul B. And then there was his love of music, singing and playing guitar or upright base, an inspiring journey of Hawaiian melodies and familiar tunes at every back lanai party; the focus of which was Fun, music, food, and drinking into the wee hours of the morning. Parties I will always cherish as fond memories of dad sharing himself and his love of family and impromptu get-togethers. Never one for really saying "no" to great times at the house. He always had room in his heart to love; hard love and tender love was his pendulum of life. He joined Word of Life church after mom past in 2021, and enjoyed praising God with Julie and joined a great men's group of study, prayer, and accountability. He shared his life's lessons of joy, challenge, and heartache in hopes that it would benefit friends of truth and faith. We love and miss you Dad, hoping and believing that one day we will enjoy your empowering love once again.
