Mrs. Ethel Tan was a beautiful person, inside and out. I was very close to her daughter Nathleen while attending Lunalilo Elementary School and was always welcome at their home. Mrs. Tan had a bright and friendly smile and so nice to me. I will never forget her.

This photo of Mrs. Tan with her daughter Nathleen, son-in-law James and grandson Craig and myself was from a visit in 2014. My deepest sympathy to the family as I have known the Tans since Nathleen and I have been friends since grade school. The Tans have always welcomed me into their home with the full hospitality of friendship and love. Mrs. Tan, I will always remember you as a kind and loving person with the most beautiful smile. I have fond memories of that yummy almond cookies that Nathleen shared with me when we were kids. May the family find comfort knowing how many lives she touched. Blessings always, Joyce Barnes/Slater
