Evelyn Tseu Obituary

EVELYN Y. KOJIMA TSEU Evelyn Yukiye Kojima Tseu, 91, passed away suddenly from pancreatic cancer on May 25, 2025, in Boise, Idaho. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and great- grandmother. She was a quiet and generous friend whose presence uplifted all who knew her. Born on December 10, 1933, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Evelyn was the second of four children of George Kojima and Asaye Masuyama. She attended St. Francis High School and enjoyed singing and dancing in her youth. In December 1954, Evelyn married Lawrence K.W. Tseu, as he pursued his dental education in San Francisco, Provo, and Chicago. They settled in Honolulu in 1962, where they raised five children: Larilyn Dang (Bob), Shauna Williams (Rick), Janell Yim (Paul), Larry Tseu, and Andrew Tseu (Stacy). Evelyn and Lawrence divorced in 1977, after which she worked for ENT specialist Dr. Kenneal Chun. After she retired, she moved to Boise Idaho in 2001 to be near to family. She loved gardening, interior decorating, and cookingknown especially for her Hawaiian potato salad and desserts. Her Boise home had a meticulously maintained garden rich with colorful flowers. Determined and selfless, she gave quietly and wholeheartedly. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Dorothy. She is survived by her siblings Arthur (Barbara) and Walter (Lily), her five children, and many grandchildren and great-grand- children. Evelyn's legacy lives on in the kindness she showed and the love she shared. A private service will be held in Hawaii at a later date.
