Fiel Ramiscal Obituary

FIEL FE BENITO RAMISCAL 78, passed away at Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu on January 13, 2026. He was born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on June 16, 1947. Fiel is preceded in death by parents, Bernardino and Florentina; wife, Gloria; son, Francis; and brothers, Onofre and Carlito. He is survived by daughters, Lorifel (Henry) Lagua and Marie Ramiscal; son, Dennis; grandchildren, Jorel, Destany, Jessa, Lorilyne, Gloridel (Brian) Ramiscal, Kierra (Angelo), Jade (Andrew), Ashton, and Dominic (Rhose Ann); great-grandchildren, Keegan and Elouise; sisters, Dr. Aida Martin and Minda (Feliberto Jr.) Velasco; brothers, Elmer and Erwin; an aunt; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins. Fiel met his wife Gloria early in life while they were both in elementary school. They then attended the same high school and went on to earn their college degrees in education. Fiel's professional career started in the Philippines as a public school teacher and as faculty in three private institutions: Northwestern College, St. Andrew Academy, and Bacarra Medical Center School of Midwifery - all while raising a family. His education and training included attending Nortwestern College in Laoag City, Philippine Normal College in Manila, and Development Academy of the Philippines in Manila. In 1984, Fiel and his entire family moved to Honolulu, Hawaii. He was involved again in the education field - working in various areas and capacities that included several schools in the Leeward district, Waipahu High School and Farrington School's Adult Education Program. Additionally, he was engaged with the Clean Team as supervisor at Ala Moana Center's Makai Market for a number of years where he enjoyed using his skills in maintenance and leadership. Fiel's passion and special affection was to provide for and support fully his growing family - by working hard, furthering his skills, and thriving by attending school, seminars and workshops locally and on the mainland. Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary on 30 N. Kukui Street in downtown Honolulu.
