My sincere condolences to the Kamemoto family. I just learned of Fred's passing and was also saddened to hear that Alice had predeceased him. Fred was my mentor when I was an undergraduate student at the UH and worked in his lab and did my honor's thesis with him, which was published. I have many fond memories of those days and Fred's generosity and care for his students. I have been remiss in not being in touch for the past several years and hope that he led a satisfying life to the end.
