GAUDENCIO GEORGE AGUSTIN PONCIANO Gaudencio "George" A. Ponciano, 96, of Kailua, Hawai'i, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026. "GP" was born in Kahuku, Hawai'i, and lived a life rooted in love, family, and hard work. He is survived by his beloved wife, Helen (Betsy); children Everett, Everetta Park, Benjamin (Miki), Rebecca (Nathan) Inouye, Velma, Tomi (Cameron) Rivera, Justine Medeiros, and Joanna (Jacob) Faber; 21 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. George worked in the roofing industry for 50+ years and mentored and shaped future generations of tradesmen. His work ethic and integrity left a lasting mark on Hawai'i's construction community. His favorite pastime was golf and being an avid UH football fan. Services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at St. John Vianney Church in Kailua. Visitation will begin at 9:45 a.m. with Mass at 10:45 a.m., followed by a celebration of his life.
