David S. Nishimura
September 22, 2024
1962-1968: Those days @ Tachikawa AB considered still in Tokyo near the Tamagawa River. Our Hawaiian Club aided by the "local" Hawaii civilians working in U.S. Gov´´t positions joined together & held a Luau, a "first" which was a huge success! All pitch in settling up an authentic stage; bunch of us making the laulau´s w/taro & T-leaves sent in from HI by our local military pilots & slapping a whole pork chop slice in lieu of grounding (humbug). George & his gang handled much of the miscellaneous chores. Lost contacts of the bunch?
Condolences from the Nishimura, David family. Spouse & 2 boys still alive; youngest departed in 2003. Oldest retired 2 yrs. ago from Lockheed residing in San Jose, CA. Aloha.
