George Baker Obituary

GEORGE I'I BAKER Born 9/11/36, Honoka'a, Hawaii, died 10/11/23, Honolulu, Hawaii. He was a PBX Installer at The Hawaiian Telephone company and custodian at UH Lab School. He was a graduate of Honoka'a high school and highly recruited for college athletics. He chose to serve as a U.S. Army Sargeant and Cryptologist and play basketball for the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Genevieve E. Baker and was a devoted father to his Children: Charla Yoshino, Georgette Albert-Luppino, David Baker and Grandchildren: Jesse Yoshino, Jasmine Carney, Jana Uehara, Jolie Yoshino, Idony Hoapili Corte-Real, Anthony Albert (predeceased), Michael Albert, Shannon Pacheco-Baker, Brandi Baker. Great-Grandchildren: Mason and Easton Yoshino, Trenton and Kenric Yoshino-Chan, Luka Uehara, Colm Carney, Roman and Rozzi Yoshino-Pada, Kalakekoa Carnate-Albert, and Liberty Baker Le. George I'i Baker, of the Ali'i Hoapili Baker ohana is Predeceased by 7 brothers and 5 sisters. Service will be held on Nov 29, 2023 at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary. Visitation 9-11 AM.
