Gerald Wong Obituary

GERALD KING GEE WONG June 12, 1938 ~ March 12, 2023 Gerald Wong, age 84, passed away peacefully at his home in Pearl City, Hawaii, on March 12, 2023, with family by his side. Born to parents, Wallace Wan Yun Wong and Mabel Kam Lan Kop (both deceased). Siblings, Dennis (Annie) and Wayne (Cynthia) Wong. Gerald graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa where he received his bachelor's degree in business. He then enlisted with the US Army at Schofield Barracks serving a tour in South Korea and at Fort Polk, LA. After completing his time in the military, he received an Honorable discharge from the US Army. After completing his service, Gerald worked for the US Government, Department of Army and Corps of Engineers in San Francisco as a Human Resources Officer, until his retirement. Gerald is survived by his wife, Lucia (Park) Wong; sons Kevin (Donna Haverly) Wong and Kendrick (Joyce) Wong; grandchildren: Jaylyn, Kami, Kasen, and Kristen. A chapel service for Gerald will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Funeral Services, 45-425 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe. Refreshments served: 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial to follow the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. With deep appreciation, the family would like to thank the nurses at Bristol Hospice for at home hospice care.
