GLENN JOHN OAMILDA Glenn John Oamilda, 81, of Ewa Beach peacefully passed away February 4, 2026. He was born on June 27, 1944 and raised in Waipahu, Hawaii by his parents Barbara K. and Richard Oamilda and grandparents Samuel and Julia Kauwenaole. He is survived by his wife Jane Alfeche Oamilda and daughters Lynn (John) Cuthrell, Valerie (Jim) Molidor, Jennifer (Rob) Gilchrist and five grandchildren Jillian, Veronica, Luke, Robbie and Kate. Glenn had four brothers and three sisters. He was predeceased by older brother Gene (Mary). His sisters include oldest Gwendolyn (Elpidio, deceased) Montibon, Gretchen (Rudy, deceased) Dayanan, Georgette (Dan) Montibon both deceased and brothers Gary, Gordon (Linda) and Guy (Loreen). He leaves behind cherished nephews, nieces, cousins and many close friends. He attended St. Joseph School, Waipahu, Hawaii and graduated from St. Louis School, class of 1962. He attended Los Angeles Harbor College and married Jane Alfeche of Ewa, Hawaii in 1963 and raised three daughters Lynn, Valerie and Jennifer in California. In 1970, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University-Dominguez Hills and continued graduate courses in public administration at Long Beach State University and Pepperdine University. In 1981 he and his family relocated to Ewa Beach, Hawaii and started his employment as a legislative aid for Senator Mike Crozier. He began his landscaping and maintenance business at the time. Glenn was actively involved in community service projects that contributed to the welfare of Ewa Beach residents and the West Oahu area. In 1996, he received a Kapolei Outstanding Achievement (KOA) for Community Service sponsored by the Estate of James Campbell. He continued to work in job development and case management for those living with mental health issues until his retirement. Glenn's hobbies were doing home projects, wood working, bonsai trees and collecting baseball cards. Mahalo to the Bristol Hospice team for their support and care of Glenn and his family.
