Gordon Wee Obituary

DR. GORDON DEAN WEE, D.D.S. Age 68, peacefully entered into eternal life with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 10, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Honolulu, Hawai'i, on April 17, 1957. Gordon graduated from President Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1975 and went on to attend the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, where he earned degrees in Biology and Business. He later attended Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Wee practiced dentistry in Waipi'o Gentry for 40 years, serving his community with dedication and care, before retiring at the end of December 2024. Following retirement, Gordon remained active and engaged. He was a devoted member of Pearlside Church (formerly Grace Bible Church-Pearlside), where he faithfully served on the Sound Ministry Team. In this role, he assisted with training, equipment purchasing and preparation, and troubleshooting audio systems across multiple church locations. Gordon also enjoyed traveling, teaching and playing mahjong for fun, attending concerts and Broadway musicals, Diamond Head Theatre productions, and Honolulu Symphony performances with his beloved wife. In addition, he served as Treasurer of the Papaniho Dental Study Club. Gordon is survived by his loving wife, Julie; brother, Michael Wee (Audrey); daughters, Sherilyn Hayashida and Alyson Wee; stepson, Remy Biondine (Sierra); father- and mother-in-law, Robert and Masako Hanamoto; sisters-in-law, Dr. Theresa Wee (Martin Arinaga) and Sandra Hanamoto; and many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence G. M. Wee and Gladys Mau Evenson, and his brother, Dr. Stephen L. Wee. Gordon will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kindness, faith, and unwavering dedication to family, community, and service. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at First Assembly of God - Red Hill, located at 3400 Moanalua Road.
