Grace Matsumoto Obituary

GRACE YURIKO MATSUMOTO Grace Yuriko Matsumoto, age 92, passed away on July 30, 2023. She was born in Hiroshima, Japan on March 1, 1931. She was a caring wife to Satoshi Matsumoto (predeceased) for 63 years. She loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed making crafts for the White Dove women's group for her church, Seicho-No-Ie Hawaii. She was a former elementary school educator in Hiroshima, Japan, as well as a Japanese language teacher in Honolulu, Hawaii. Grace was a dedicated educator, talented seamstress, and an outstanding cook. She is survived by her son William Matsumoto and daughter Janet (James) Araki, and three grand- children. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Diamond Head Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will begin at 11:00 and followed by a celebration of life at 12:00.
